One of our favourite Sydney wine festivals is back, the Wahroonga Food and Wine Festival in the beautiful Wahroonga park gardens. We are excited to be bringing some of our most recent trophy winning wines to pour
Event organisers have carefully selected a wide range of exquisite wineries from NSW and around Australia. On the day you will be able to taste and buy their premium and award winning wines. Taste over 130 wines from 30 wineries and enjoy an array of local produce and a huge selection of gourmet food stalls offering a variety of international and Australian cuisines.
Produce market stalls will line the flowerbeds and walkways offering a variety of products. The event is FREE and all ages are welcome. Bring your friends and family to enjoy the live music on the rotunda stage with performances by talented local school and contemporary musicians and entertainers. There will also be entertainment for the children, including inflatable rides and our petting animal farm from the Southern Highlands.Wine tasting glasses and ticket packages are available starting at $20 available for sale on the day from the Tasting Ticket Marquee.

It's your turn to play winemaker for the day! Learn the art of blending with our winemaker Frank van de Loo as he takes you through the components of our multi award winning TSG (Tempranillo, Shiraz, Graciano).
The event will begin with a tasting of the current TSG followed by each component from barrel of the as yet unblended 2017 TSG. Then it's over to you: each table makes their own TSG blend. Each blend will then be judged by our panel including a local sommelier with a prize on offer for the best wine.
The Sydney Wine Festival is a celebration of 60 fantastic NSW wineries who will be showcasing over 350 different wines. There will be 15 fabulous food stalls to tantalise your tastebuds and sensational live entertainment to liven up the party! The event will take place on Saturday the 14th October 10:30am - 6pm and Sunday the 15th October 10:30 - 5pm.

If you’ve not already dined at Vincent, you’re in for a treat. Head Chef Ute Pikler resume includes time at the Boathouse, Pod Food and Melbourne institutions, Vue de Monde and Circa, The Prince. With a pedigree like that we are sure the menu will be the star.
There will be six wines and seven courses in all. We’ll begin with our recently released 2017 Riesling (Gold Medal NSW Wine Awards) followed by our 2016 Chardonnay.
We then move on to our reds, 2016 Mondeuse (a Trophy winner at this year’s Canberra and Region Wine Show), 2016 Touriga, 2015 Shiraz (Top Gold at the 2016 National Wine Show) and our latest release, the 2016 Tempranillo, our flagship.

Australian Women in Wine Awards - Canberra Event
The Australian Women in Wine Awards will be announced on Tuesday the 26th of September at 7pm. To celebrate the great women in our own amazing wine region join us for wine tasting presented by these wonderful women themselves. The event will be held at Pod Food in Pialligo and ticket prices include canapes, charcuterie, confit duck rolls and more. All wines are available for tasting and you are welcome to purchase a glass or bottle to enjoy your favourite.
After much press and hype around the delicious 2015 Tempranillo the latest release has crept up on us. Upon tasting the new 2016 Tempranillo it is surprising this wine has not been on our minds. It is another stunning Tempranillo, don't let the hype around 2015 fool you this a seductive wine that we love and our Tempranillo never disappoints.
To celebrate come to cellar door for our release weekend anytime on Saturday the 16th or Sunday the 17th of September, 10am-5pm. Enjoy a taste, glass or a bottle to take home. We will also have our friends down at Pod Food supply us with some braised lamb rolls for the day. Lamb and Tempranillo is a match made in heaven.

Tempranillo Tasting with Frank - for those who are interested in learning more about our Tempranillo Frank will be running small group tasting sessions on Saturday the 16th. Frank will talk you through the current release along with 2017 barrel samples and a vintage Tempranillo from the cellar. These sessions are limited to 20 people per session. Fruit and vegetables are sold side-by-side with fresh flowers and specialist outlets such as the Free Range Butcher and The One that Got Away. Owner Peter Quattroville says inspiration came from local markets in Italy and France.

Come and join the farming community of the Majura Valley for the inaugural Majura Valley Bush Festival on Sunday 30 April 2017.
Across the day we will celebrate the people, history and stories that make up the unique heritage of the Majura Valley. Enjoy Majura Valley meats as you tuck into a beef or lamb burger, taste the Mount Majura Wine, enjoy a beer, or sit down over a Devonshire tea or coffee with the Country Women’s Association. We will have displays of whip cracking, shearing, wood chopping, whip making and saddlery. Children can visit the animal petting farm, ride on the merry-go-round, or venture across the Valley on a hay or Cob & Co coach ride. Take some time out to sit back and watch the equestrian riding which will be on throughout the day. Your children will be delighted to take part in a pony ride too. Country and folk music will play in the background as you discover the treasures of a time past, with wonderful displays of heritage carriages, the original Majura Post Office and the Majura Valley heritage church/hall.

Back by popular demand oysters unplugged will be at cellar door for the Canberra Wine Week. Oysters are a perfect match with our Riesling or The Silurian sparkling. Join us at cellar door for a great afternoon enjoying freshly shucked oysters by the Ralston Bros from the Clyde River NSW. Oysters will be served from 12:30pm until sold out. We will be significantly increasing the amount of oysters from last year, however we still recommend getting in early.
Pod Food will be hosting a wine week garden party with wines from Mount Majura Vineyard, Eden Road Wines and Nick O'Leary. Pod Food will be serving canapes and charcuterie as well as cooking paella and a pig on the spit. All food is included in the ticket price. Each winery will be serving tasting's of their wines as well as selling the wines by the glass or by the bottle.
The Boathouse and Mount Majura Vineyard will come together on Thursday the 6th of April to present an evening of Tempranillo. The evening will begin with Sparking and canapes before sitting down to an evening of Tempranillo tasting. Frank and the team at Mount Majura Vineyard will select some great examples of Tempranillo from Spain and showcase them alongside their own current flagship. Along with the Spanish Tempranillo on the evening you will also taste some older vintage TSG and Tempranillo as well as the current single site Tempranillo. The talented and experimental chefs from the Boathouse will then match a course to each bracket of wines. The evening will include canapes + a four course menu, with sparkling on arrival and three wines per course.
The handmade market is one of the largest Canberra markets with a passion for supporting independent, small and creative businesses. This great local business brings together passionate creators, artists, designers as well as food and wine producers from Canberra and surrounds. We will be attending the market pouring tastes, serving wine by the glass and selling bottles of wine to take home.

The Canberra District's wineries are coming to the heart of the city so that over two evenings you can enjoy the region's best wine and food without leaving the city limits. The event will be lit with festoon lights, local DJs will provide the soundtrack to the evenings and the great street art in Tocumwal Lane will provide the backdrop. This 18-19 November head to the city to enjoy all the region has to offer. The event runs from 4-8pm each evening.
Entry is $20 (or $15 for online early bird tickets) and includes a souvenir glass that will be your ticket to taste the wines on offer. You can use your tasting glass to purchase a glass of wine directly from the wineries. With plenty of food available why not grab a bite and a glass of your favourite wine and sit down and enjoy some local music. You will also be able to purchase bottles to take home.
Join us at Avenue C Wine Co to celebrate the 2016 Women in Wine Awards. Some of Canberra District’s best and finest wines will be poured for tasting by the women who grow, make and sell them.
The Australian Women in Wine Awards will be streamed live. We’ll be cheering for local finalist Sarah Collingwood of Four Winds Vineyard!
