In 1988 Dr Edgar Riek and owner Mrs Dinny Killen planted the first hectare of Mount Majura Vineyard. To vigneron Dr Edgar Riek the site with an east-facing slope having limestone and volcanic rock had all the right components to be one of Canberra District’s best. The first wines were made in 1990, so the 2019 vintage was our 30th. From founding visionaries to current winemaker Frank van de Loo, we are excited to be celebrating our vineyard’s 30th birthday.

To celebrate we are inviting members and friends to enjoy dinner at Bibo Wine Bar in Double Bay, Sydney. We’ll show off some great vintages from the cellar along with current release wines to enjoy on the evening. This promises to be a wonderful evening of fine food, wine and stories .
